Spec my friend a machine

He has £300 MAX to spend and wants dual core or better with a decent graphics card.

4gb ram is a must, and he wants to be able to play the latest games (even if only on low settings)

I was thinking 8800GT, athlon II 240 2.8ghz kinda spec.

What can you do for me?

I've got an 8800GT and Jetway AM2+ motherboard which takes DDR2 or DDR3, so if you could spec them in, and i'd want around £120 for them, but do a spec with my bits and without please :)

Needs a case, and ALL internals please including DVD-RW.

Not possible to get a motherboard, cpu, ram, case and psu for £180? He did say £350 max, but i thought it could be able to be done with £300.

And that's really pushing it. You can't get a gaming machine for the price of a budget machine.
 
Which 2.8? The Athlon? Suffers a lot as a result of loss of L3 cache. The one i specced may also unlock to a quad.

If you'd noticed there's very little between HDD sizes, and the one i specified is cheaper than most 160GB one's. B GRADE.
