A monitor isn't needed as that's already catered for. Preferably he'd like the OS (Vista) to be installed on a separate 'small' drive, but apart from that £750 is the limit.

I've quoted this build based on him being a gamer as you haven't stated otherwise. If he's not into gaming i would swap the gfx card for something around the HD3850 and swap the cpu for the Q6600.
