Hi guys, my mate is after a new system. Its going in a cupboard and he says the old one gets hot so needs to be cool.

He has a budget of £500 for the system, wireless keyboard and mouse, he's gonna use his old monitor for now.

Use for surfing and watching films, he's not likely to play games on it so having good gfx isnt an issue. He just wants a good fast cool system.

Thanks in advance

Nick

Looks good thanks, only thing is the wireless keyboard and mouse, i dont know anything about wireless as i always stick to wired myself. Im sure I could convince him to go a few quid over if needed.

Thanks for the super quick response too.

Any more?

Just wanted to update this, we ordered on fri and it all arrived on Monday and I built it up for him this afternoon, all went smoothly and it seems to be running fine.

Final spec is

E4300
Gigabyte DS3
Geil PC6400 C5 Value
Seagate 7200.10 250Gb
OcUk Huntkey 550w
Samsung Lightscribe s-ata
Nvidia 6300 LE
Antec 900 case
Logitech Cordless Desktop LX710

He isnt too keen on the idea of overclocking as he is worried about temps, he let me do the start of it though so its up to just under 2Ghz now, he may let me do a little more once he see's the temps are ok at his house.

Huge thanks again to OcUK for once again supplying all the parts.

Thanks to Semi-pro for your input too.

Not a problem at all, what is the PSU like? I haven't been able to find out too much about it in terms of reviews so I'd be interested in a users opinion if you have anything to say about it. :)

It seemed ok, only problem was only 2x SATA connectors so had to put the HDD and DVD-RW very close together as they were close too.

It powered it all fine though, as he has all the Antec fans running no chance of hearing it over that so cant comment on if its quiet or not.

I'll let you know if I can get any more info, over all it looked nice, felt pretty good quality and works :)
