He's currently got a Barton 2500+ system from around 5 years ago.

He's after a decent CPU, cooling, board, RAM and graphics solution. He's got the other parts.

He wants to game on his 22" TFT at 1680X1050 probably playing Crisis, FC2 and a lot of BF2.

Budget is £400.

He may need to spend a little more to enjoy those games at that res. Above poster has done a nice spec, the 4850 is a great card but for those top end games won't cut it. You really need a 1GB 4870/ GTX 260. BF2 will be fine :)

Will have a look at the higher end cards. His £400 is flexable if I can justify the benefit of a better spec.

Would you have to sacrifice a lot of the detail/AA/res to get it playing well or are we talking a tweak?
