Budget £350. She actually does quite a lot of photo editing etc, and with a new rig I could put Photoshop etc onto it and it would actually run it. I was thinking of something along these lines however, I personally quite like the look of the CM Dominator, am I wasting it on my mum instead of my rig (Antec Sonata III) :P ? Any ideas would be appreciated. Also, do I get free postage?

Looks nice guys. Haven't really been considering the AMD option, but I guess it looks pretty good. Doesn't really have to be THAT impressive a spec. Web browsing and uploading is the thing that she uses comp for most. Any more ideas? My dad is buying XP for her. Also, preferably a seperate graphics card, not onboard.

Why not onboard though? Unless you want something for gaming?

Because onboard really will not perform well atall, like my mums old computer that has just died would probably perform better.
Edit also video playback, YoutTube etc. Oh and btw, we have 2 PATA drives already.

Total waste putting 4850s and 9800GT's on a build where the heaviest use is photoshop. Yes, I'm aware of GPU acceleration in CS4 for certain functions but with this kind of budget the money is much better spent on CPU power.
Onboard is fine as long as it's good like AMD 780G/ NVidia 8400/ NVidia 9400 based.

Took the words right out of my mouth :)

why not just go for this: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-180-OK&tool=5

Although it is only a dual core, i doubt very much if it would struggle with PS (I only use CS2 which i find is a damn sight faster than the newer iterations yet still rich in features). It also comes with a decent graphics card if you ever want to play a few games yourself and unlike the builds above you don't need to build it :P

Slightly over the budget, if you really wanna save extra pennies you could get cheaper PSU/HDD/RAM but I wouldn't, quality parts pay back in the long run : ).

Macky, you sig is over the limit, I suggest that you remove it before a mod does.

I'll brb with a spec.

edit, here's what I came up with...:
