Hey

I am going to build a system to replace my mother's PIII 450Mhz box, as it's on its last legs. It absolutely does not need to be a performance PC, so I'm looking for cheap and reliable. Just the case and component - no monitor, etc. I'm a bit out of the loop, but I'm thinking:

cpu: cheap AMD AM2 single core.
mobo: suitable one.
ram: 1GB (2x 512MB) of suitable speed rating

graphics: on-board would be fine, as long as mobo could take a proper PCI-E in future (if needed). If no OB, then cheap nvidia card.
sound: on board would be fine

case: budget white/light colour
psu: suitable one

Cheap yet decent quality is what I'm looking for. Think that's it. Tell me if I missed anything!

Sorry there are two problems here, one it is difficult to get a single stick of DDR2(and I'm not sure if/how well it would work) and second that I can't see any white/light cases other than this silver one or the Akasa Zen which is white but has no order button. Other than that this should meet the requirements comfortably :)

Cheers. That looks great for the money (nice all in one solution in the motherboard)

Forget about the single stick thing. My reasons for saying that were stupid. :D

One thing. Will the 360W PSU that comes with the Asus case be decent quality? Also, would it be able to handle the possible addition of a seperate mid-range graphics card in the future?

The PSU should be fine, Asus tend to make good solid products although I don't know a huge amount about the PSU itself but other people seem to be using them fine so an upgrade to a 7600gt (say) ought to be ok. :)
