CD ripping, lots of storage, bit of gaming, HTPC, good performance but as quiet and cool as possible (without paying silly amounts), etc, etc...

Case: Antec P180 with Sharkoon 2000 golfball fans (bought)
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo e6600 (bought)
CPU Cooling: Scythe Ninja Plus (no fan w/AS5) (bought)
Motherboard: P5W DH DELUX WiFi (BOUGHT)
PSU: Seasonic S12 600W (Have Already)
RAM: GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GX22GB6400UDC) (Bought)
Graphics: HIS ATI Radeon X1900 ICEQ3 (BOUGHT)

Sound: Very keen on my music/good sound.

-IS the onboard sound good enough?
-Shall/Can I use my old Hercules Game Theatre XP 7.1 instead?

Speakers: Cambridge/Creative Soundworks 7.1 system (my current ones)

RAID Controller: Areca ARC-1220 (Bought)
Hard Drives: 2 x 150GB Raptors RAID1 for System, pagefile, programs.
4 x 500GB RE2 Western Digitals (RAID 6 array on controller) storage.

-Will I introduce a bottleneck if I use one of my old WD Caviar 320GB ATA 133 drives to host the pagefile?

CD/DVD Drives: Thinking about a LG GSA-4167B.

Monitor: My old Viewsonic CRT p95f (have Already)
TV Card: I’ve got a Nebula Electronics DigiTV (PCI) which I’ll use if it’s still alive. (Have Already)

Input: Saitech Eclipse (bought)
/Logitech MX Revolution.
UPS: APC 1500Va Smart UPS (bought)

Other: Windows XP Pro until vista comes along. Will probably dabble with Knoppix/Umbuntu and dual OS setup at somepoint though….

Is there anything I should change? The Bought bits are still unopened, so I could probably exchange them if I've made a mistake....

Sounds like a good spec. Keep some cooling on the drives - 6 of them in close space with no airflow will not be good. If your keen on sound then id go for an x-fi as well.
