Hey folks
Iv got 20 quid in my back burner to spend on a website for a year. It will be used for viewing flash animation, forum and artwork. Who would i be best to spend my pennies on for hosting? Also for the obtaining of a domain name where should i look?

thankyou for any help provided.

Try looking at the www.ochostreview.co.uk thread

For £30 you can get a subdomain setup at Vidahost. It's only the starter package but I have heard good things about them and they are supposed to have excellent support and if you have an extra probably around £6 to get a .co.uk domain setup elsewhere :)

So close - it includes a domain registration, and is £29 :)

For <= £20 I'd suggest tsohost with a subdomain, or I think you can just about squeeze in your own domain registration which is ~£6.46 for a .uk, ~£5.50 for com/net/org/etc depending on where you buy 'em - UK or US makes no difference for domains - the US is generally cheaper, for example Namecheap.com @ $8.88/year (~£5.15) :)

Ah for....argh, I can't even read properly now, I think I should re register on the forums as people won't be taking my advice seriously now, they'll think "oh its Conrad11, ill wait for another reply"..........at least that way they would concider what i was saying..:p

oh and whats a quid these days :)
