I am looking to build a new system based around the INTEL CORE 2QUAD PRO Q6600. Nothing terribly expensive Ive seen the offer on Seagates 400gb at56 pounds. How good an offer is this? Any other recommendations?I want to use it for video rendering plus the occasional game...? and wireless internet.I would want a goodpriced 22inch monitor I also love the Thermaltake cases
All views appreciated Cheers Jos

What is your budget here? Basic recommendations would be to get a P35 based motherboard and 2gb or 4gb PC6400, graphics cardwise perhaps an 8800GT although depending on how much you game it could be overkill.

You could probably get a 500gig hard drive for not much more than that as well, and you'd probably appreciate the extra space if you do a lot of video rendering.

Thanks for advice, budget I would like to be around 6 or 7,i do think The Seagate Bar-500gb 32 mb Cache at 73 Might Be Better,Would Like The 8800GT But Price Is High For Only Some Gaming. If I was going for it what motherboard would you recommend?Anything more reasonable that you know of that is nearly as good? Also any opinions on dual writer? and all-aluminium case?
