Hi guys!

My missus is after a new P&S camera for chrismtmas as her old one has finally bitten the dust! Unfortunatly, i know near enough zero about photography/cameras to figure out where to start!

Any suggestions or ideas from you guys would be really appreciated.
£100-£200 budget, can't really go over that! If its ''pretty'' to look at then thats a bonus but not essential! will be used for holidays, occasional nights out, family events etc etc etc...

This forum's a little bit "pro" for your needs; I was going to recommend a £300 P&S. You're better off just checking out Which? or Cnet.com and going from there.

As long as you like the look of it and it's got good reviews then you're golden: there's little difference between the good cameras at that end of the market.
 
Panasonic Lumix tz10 or similar such cameras. This range will give you not only good P&S capability but also provide a bit more manual control if required / wanted. They are good fun to use. Read up on them and see which one best suits her needs / your budget.
