Spec request: Wheel & Pedals

I'm just getting into VR and racing Sims. I'd like to invest in a wheel and pedals but don't want to go too crazy in case I don't quite get the bug for it. Ideally, something I could possibly upgrade at a later date?

Whilst I see that force feedback is a big part of the immersion, I'd like something that provides the feedback without thudding like mad. Is that possible? I take it I can adjust the severity?

My initial budget is around £200 and the obvious choice seems to be the Logitech G29? Or is it?

Yep, G29 for that budget.
T300 GT package if you can throw another 100 at it. This'll give you future rim upgrade options.

Ive seen t300 packages go for <£200 quite a few time in the sales, currently the t300 Ferrari gte is £223 if you google.

Yeah, but the GTE has crap pedals. The GT comes with T3PA pedals

Maybe wait for the upcoming sales. I bought my G29 Wheel+Pedal for half they go for now but that was over a year ago and the cheapest I've seen them since was £149.95 excluding the H shifter.

@bimbleuk yes I could hold off. I've just moved house so really busy and I'll be totally ripping out my gaming cave in 4 or 5 weeks time for a refit. I'll keep an eye out for sales.

Guys, if you paste the following into Google it brings up a link for this Thrustmaster @ £267.28. Is this the right wheel at a decent price?
