Spec required Guys

Hi guys i need a good spec for the following use.

Movie Productions company
-using adobe premeire
-adobe photoshop
-other software
-windows xp pro

It needs to be fast with a lot of ram, i have just built them a new server which far outdates the dell machines they are using so they want a price to update all the clients aswell.

How much are they willing to spend? How much disk space do they need?

More money buys more RAM or disk space. Take note that they'll have to use a 64-bit operating system with this.

they have 3TB on their new server and they use this for all their files.

However about 500gb should be fine however 1tb would be great.

Not sure on what they are willing to spend i would say about £500 on each machine, i need 3 by the way

If it's designing I would get a dual core and 4GB memory. Do you need monitors. DOn't forget case fans, unless the case comes with it.

hard drives are relatilvy cheap these days

cam get a pair of 400gb western digi drives for about £80

i have had a think about this guys and for what they are after they would need to go a little more so i got the budget up to £600 per machine if that helps.

to answer your question gumbald they would need xp pro aswell on all three

As I said before, XP Pro is not going to fly if they want 4 GiB of RAM.
