Spec something for £1500

A mate is looking to get a car, his budget is £1500. I'm not really sure what to recommend as ive never spent so little on a car before.

He wants something that will be relatively economical, reliable and practical.

I think he wants something a bit larger than those, like a toledo maybe?

Don't see how u can look at anything other than a mk1 focus for that kinda money. There faster and better to drive than anything like an old polo or yaris etc and there soooo reliable and dirt cheap to run.

toledo is a very good option

Toyota corolla 1.4 or 1.6 with full history from 2001 on should get a very reliable car but might be higher mileage
