I need to spec a gaming machine for myself beacuse im giving mine at the moment to my brother, i have 500 inc moniter, already have mouse key board speaker, all i need is base and moniter for 500 or under needs to game well and moniter has to be 17'', also just want one cdRW/dvd combo drive amd preffered for cpu u know what to do buddies

If you're giving your current system away, I suspect you'd want a replacement of something similar? £500 is pretty tight... 17" CRT monitor and a Sempron perhaps?

It is a pretty tight budget to make a system that will game well but I think this ought to just about work and is a little better than your current system.
