The Sandybridge G640 home build that I knocked up for my parents about 6 years ago has given up the ghost.

Sadly they live on the other side of the world, so I can't recycle any of it - which is a pain the posterior as the Coolermaster mini-itx case was quite nice.

Would like to build them a new 'home office' system that has a little punch, so as to keep it going for a good few years.

Need the following:-

Processor (AMD I'd imagine to keep the budget in check)
Motherboard (mini-itx)
Memory
Hard drives (SSD and a storage drive - though with reasonable prices these days, maybe just a larger SSD would be fine)
PSU
Case (the old one was a Coolermaster Elite 120 - which was good, so something similar)

Budget would be about £400 - £500.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

This would be what I'd go with:
  • Ryzen 3 2200G
  • Gigabyte B450-I Aorus Pro WiFi
  • 2x8GB Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 3200MT/s RAM
  • Sabrent Rocket NVMe SSD 512GB
  • In-Win BQ696 Chopin Mini-ITX Case (includes built-in 150W PSU)
Total =~£415

Much appreciated

Funnily enough in the 24 hours since my post, I had come up with something quite similar - Which I ordered earlier this afternoon.

Ryzen 3 2200G
Gigabyte B450-I Aorus Pro WiFi
2 x 4GB Team Group 3200
BeQuiet 400w PSU
Crucial MX500 250GB
WD Blue 1TB
OCUK value DVD-RW
Fractal Core 500 case

Cost was about £450.
