hey. its been a while since ive last asked someone to spec me a pc. it was around august when i asked for a spec and i have decided against using an opteron this time but i will still be overclocking and i no longer need a monitor, so i wanted a re-evaluation of what to get. i'm looking to play games. i wanna get a 3700+ SD cpu and i already have 2 gigs of newly bought g.skill ddr 4000 ram, so i dont need ram either. my brother says he will send me over a 160gb HDD from scotland aswell so , i have £650 to spend on: cpu ( 3700+ SD OEM), mobo, gfx card, a dvd rewriter and 2nd dvd rom, a thermaltake big typhoon cooler and a decent case and PSU, preferably the X-QPack cube case. i'm picky i know ;), anyhow, thanks in advance, i'l make sure to check up on this thread in an hour or two.
 
Here you go, pretty much bang on the budget but doesn't include a second DVD drive, if you really want one then you can drop the hard drive size. It is a retail CPU because you get a 3 year warranty rather than 1. The QPack case limits you to mATX motherboards which may well affect the overclocking abilities but it is up to you.

Very nice spec, cant think of anything to change here.
 
Would a big typhoon fit in the x-qpack case? I was under the impression you could only use low profile coolers, as the CPU is seated under the PSU.

I would have thought a Zalman FS-C77 would be better for that particular case (or the FS-C7700 if you don't want the funky fatal1ty colours).

depends on the zalman again. Also depends if your going to be overclocking, especially in that tight a case! 9500 wont fit, and i'm not sure whether one of the flatter ones will either with the size of them =\
