Hey lads, a mate wants a pc building and hes coming tonight to choose the parts to order from ocuk. He has £1800 which is a reasonably decent amount, X99 will be what he wants 5820k rather that skylake for obvious reasons and 980ti MSI. Can you guys ( aka stulid lol ) spec a decent setup please with monitor. I only ask as the offers change daily.

Alright stu my mate has just gone through what he wants and has chosen to go with the 4790k which is still a decent CPU. What do you think of this lot. He has a keyboard and mouse. He is going with 1080 for now, will get a 1440p monitor in a few months.

I would go with the 1000W PSU Stu specced. Your mate is going to spend a fair bit of money and it won't be SLI-capable with a 750W. Adding a second 980Ti a year or two from now when they should be around half current price would nearly double the gaming performance of the rig for very little extra expenditure.
 
750W is plenty to SLI 2 cards Danny. Tbh though he doesn't like SLI like myself, he would prefare a high end single card solution. He would rather fil all 4 slots on the motherboard Micky he just said mate, he can always change the ram in the future. Gonna order all this once he gets online in a little while. Should be a decent little system. I take it getting the 4790k upto 4.5ghz should be a breeze? He doesn't want to go mad on an overclock but said 4.5ghz would be great, so will do that once I build it for him too.
