Hi guys,
I am looking to put together a circa £600 rig for a parent - they are tech savvy but using a terrible old laptop.
Here is what I initially came up with:
My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £604.60
(includes shipping: £14.70)
I really like to buy good quality stuff and cut out what is unecessary to bring down cost. You can see I left out a dGPU because it would probably go unused and could be added later at any time.
My main questions are - from this basket what do you think is underkill/overkill and have I missed anything important? It has been a while since putting together a pc.
Something else cross my mind - is it me or does the Phanteks case not actually have an optical drive bay? I fear my parent may still occasionally rip a CD or something.
Cheers.
Sirrah
