So, this game comes out tomorrow at 6pm GMT and I couldn't seem to find a existing thread for it! It comes from the developers of Blacklight and is a team centric 3rd Person cover based shooter. The game features a unique map selection system, with the ability to shape the battlefield by selecting individual environmental pieces, resulting in over 100 map variations. STX supports asymmetric game play with 2-4 teams and 5 frenetic game modes. Cooperative play between team members is richly rewarded. Customize your skills, weapons and character to tailor your tactics and performance in battle. STX brings you the brutality of war as you take on the role of an elite soldier in a Special Forces squad.

It looks very good to me, and the fact that it ISN'T FTP (was originally touted to be I believe?) is a very big plus! It is currently £10.79 to pre-order on Steam!

Ha yeah, the dev (in the video with TB) said the PC deserved a game like GOW, and said it is a very underrepresented genre on the PC. He is absolutley correct too, been wanting a game in the GOW vain on PC for ages!

Played the second online a lot and co-op with my brother, had an absolute blast with it. GOW had "skill" reloads didn't it? This game has that aswell according to the dev!
 
skill reloads, yup gears had that. time your reload porperly for a short time damage boost.

you should play the first one. far superior imo. just good simple shot gun blasting fun!

I think my brother may have it, when he moved just after the summer he took the 360, I kept the PS3, so may get around to playing it in the near future!

I got it! Ran into a few bugs during the 2 hours or so I have put into it (going to jump back on now before bed) and I must say, I have had an absolute blast with it so far. It is fast paced, frantic but very enjoyable! The guns feel meaty, and very satisfying to use. The map selection process is very weird, it is a good idea, but not sure how good it would be over an extended amount of time, but we shall see.

I would recommend getting it if your into your PvP TPS games, or just looking for something different other than BF or CoD.

Would give it a 7/10, but if (when) they fix the minor bugs I have experienced, I would go as high as 8/8.5.
