Ok looking for a new PSU for an upcoming build, more on that later.

It MUST:
  • be a 150x140x86mm ATX PSU.
  • have a top/bottom mounted fan (not rear mounted basically).
  • be non-modular.

It SHOULD:
  • be 700-800W (can be as low as 650 but best to be on the safe side).
  • be reasonably efficient (preferably 80+ silver minimum).

Now I have located one PSU that fits the bill perfectly (see here) but there are no reviews of it and I cannot find it for sale anywhere.

Does anyone know either:
  • Where I can get hold of one of those PSUs in the above link?
  • Any other PSU that fits my specifications?

Yes I just learned how to do lists in BBCode :D

I have already looked at the sizes of the XFX and Corsair PSU and dismissed them as to big.

Yep I've already looked and pretty much every retail PSU over 400W is 150x160x86 which is ridiculous.

If FSP can do an 80+ Gold 800W 150x140x86 PSU then why the hell can't anyone else?

150 x 140 x 86mm
Top mounted fan, or bottom depending on your perspective.
Non modular

700W
80Plus Gold

Still not that easy to get hold of but not impossible.

£100 or thereabouts.

I have one in my system, although I got it free from FSP Taiwan and I swapped the fan.

However I'm sure there's loads of PSUs that fit the size requirements, non modular but not so much the Silver 80Plus requirement.

The OCZ SXS 2 700W unit (also made by FSP I think) seem to be the right size, non modular but only Bronze 80 Plus.

Tried Seasonic they only go up to 650W in that size, they are normally my first choice.

Ahh good link Tealc, that looks like FSP's retail version of the one I was looking at. Thanks.
