Hi, please check this spec. everything compatible? Anything missing? Can I get a cheaper motherboard? Purpose: home pc, no gaming. No OS, Peripherals required.

About to order and just noticed the gigabyte mobo doesn't have hdmi (my friend's going to use an appleTV with it as well)

Tnat ASUS board will be ok, but you can get DVI-HDMI cables, unless you need sound from it also?

I built a PC with one of those, i3 and a GTX460 for a friend. Running well so far. He also used the onboard HDMI port on the TV [as we'd misplaced the miniHDMI-HDMI adaptor for the GPU] and it worked well

No difference at all, the Gigabyte would have been better as it has the extra connectivity for storage and a UK based repair center.

MSI is next as I believe they have an understanding with retailers to handle the full 3 year warranty.

I see the gigabyte offers SATA 3.0... looks like he'll have to sacrifice HDMI cable for the SSD speed.
