hi,

anyway of making this cheaper without changing the cpu? it needs to be able to be used for some of the latest games if poss. can go down to a 23' monitor but he says he needs a decent size for gaming and movie viewing.

If its just for games, then I would switch the CPU to an i5 750. You will see little benefit from the i7 in games, and using an i5 could save you £90.

I would suggest going for this power supply, Its higher quality and will support your system perfectly happily (its also a touch cheaper).

That Titan CPU cooler will not fit on that board/CPU, you need one which is socket 1156 compatible. I would suggest this.

Personally I would go for the Samsung F3 500GB HDD instead, its only £2 more and super quick.

For the graphics card, you could change it to a 5770. Its a bit slower, but it is also £20 cheaper and supports DX11.

yeah he needs multithreading for the work stuff, which is why i dont want to change the cpu, can change anything else though thanks, duh in my rush i forgot to check the cooler was compatible lol thanks for pointing that out. il check out the other suggestions. any more welcomed
