ok need some new speakers as i think my 5.1 logitechs have gone ( middle speaker sounds like someone is trying to tune in an old radio , and a high pitch noise too )

so im open to 5.1 setup or even some studio monitor type speakers ? , they would be for music, games , films. although i have those type before, via my Xonar DG 5.1 card......and i dont really have much money either......maybe £70-100

Mine were the old 5.1 system that came with an amp Z series I think, about 4 years old. I would actually like to go monitor but no idea how to do that with my xi FI card.

i would rma if they are in warranty,i have x-530's myself and they have been fine for the 5 years ive owned them

i have some z906's too,they are expensive but the quality is awesome
 
if it were me id stick with logitech still either some cheap x 530 or 540 or same as what you had before,i dont know what creative or other makes offer
 
The Creative T series are decent, although they're only a 2.0 setup the sound quality and build quality is lovely. I owned the T20s, other people have said the T40s are good as well but I don't know if there's a £30 difference.

I upgraded from the 2.0 to a 2.1 setup and went with the Acoustic Energy Aego M's. Gone up about £50 at the non-offer price to when I bought them but they're as good as reviews state, superb. Never looked back. Probably more than your budget though :(

I'd look for some second hand Logitech Z5500's for that price mark, fantastic set of speakers even till this day!
