Specs average speed cameras..

Does anyone know it the "loophole" with these cameras has been closed? It was announced back in 2006 but I haven't seen anything since..

damn.

not been caught or anything but there is a needless 40mph zone which i need to travel through every day. They have decided to cone off 5 miles of motorway so they can work on 200 yards of it..

not at the time of the morning i go through it they aren't. thats the problem...

I still do the "change lanes" trick but I can't find out if the law has been amended...

The home office only approved it for use on a single lane.

On roads with multiple lanes, SPECS are only home office type approved for measuring speed in one lane. So if you change lane they'll ignore you. On motorways it is not uncommon to see SPECS cameras covering lane 3 only in the hope of catching the fatest cars.
