SPECS cameras between leeds and newcastle

was coming from manchester last night joined the a1 from the m62

im not sure how these cameras work but there was a 20mile stretch of signs with the 50mph average zone cameras

now heres my question are they on all the time or only when there is road works?

do they work in pairs or more?

and finally the likely hood of the flaw by being in a different lane working when passing these cameras?

They're only at the roadworks, and they're on all the time.

do they work in pairs or more?

It's either pairs or three's IIRC.

and finally the likely hood of the flaw by being in a different lane working when passing these cameras?

The ones just as the A1 goes from 3 to 2 lanes? They're right on my doorstep

royal pain in the ****!

Easier if you have cruise control though, just makes it also easier to get wound up at people who fail to keep a constant speed!

They had these at Nottingham along the M1 when they were widening and still have them near Luton along the M1 (along with a 2-1 lane split)

Just stick cruise control and its fine, but the people who don't keep constant speed are the flaw in that plan.

Had a megabus (one of those £1.50 jobs) up by backside wanting to go 1mph faster the other day, flashing headlights and everything!

well i lets see what they stick on me for speeding

just means i'll take the a19 next time or not drive

being on an empty motorway at night is just too easy to speed oh wells hope these road works finish ASAP please

GOD i hate the people who are up your ass when your in the outer most right lane of your respective side doing 40/50 or watever and they come so close like they think its still motorway rules, i just keep a steady speed in the trusty old clio and watch their faces in the rear view and secretly giggle to myself , ****s

Also i allways wondered, could you hug the side of an arctic or be right behind it to stop the camera seeing a number plate?

It is amazing how people cannot keep a constant speed and you dont have to keep looking at speedo either.

And another one is when people reach a hill they start accelerated more right at the bottom of the incline. Why not speed up b4 u reach the hill and your car will find it much quicker and easier.

Been down there a couple of times. They make me angry.

They will be permanent. And the roadworks are going to take YEARS.

They even have the 50 mph speed limit when the roadworks are no where near the carriageway. I am certain they do it just to wind people up.

Its worse than the patronising signs (Remember, your family could work here, etc. etc.) Makes me want to run people over . . . .

So why didn't you let him past? Or if it's a single lane, speed up? Your speedo isn't accurate.

Set cruise indicated just over 50mph, I'm not going to speed up.

I was travelling fast enough on the 2 lane section to warranty staying in that lane, steadily overtaking lane 1. Car in front of me was moving at about the same speed as me so would have served no purpose.
