So as small number of you know I'm planning on doing my first build soon [Dec/Jan time] and would like some recommendations on certain parts as I don't particularly know what is better for me (mainly Mobo & PSU). My budget has leeway, mainly because I know it'll be over £1k but not by much, but also being patient in the hope to get it for close to £1k.
Also worth noting I'm not actually looking to OC the system, mainly because it'll run everything I want it to be as standard, but may look to OC down the line some time - maybe even add a 2nd GPU. Basically I just want a practically future-proof system with room to upgrade easily with big performance upgrades when that time comes!
So:
OS:Win7 (64-bit Home should be ok right? Might be able to go Win7Ult from a friend though)

RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro Red DDR3 2133MHz (2x 4GB) http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-381-CS <--- Reason being my friend is selling me his [practically new] 2x 4GB for £30 too to total 16GB
GPU: Not sure between MSI http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-259-MS or Gigabyte http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-147-GI GTX 970

Mobo: no idea what's good, typically ASUS though?
Case: Again, no idea really what will fit the specs stated.
HDD: Min. 1x 2TB & Just 1x 120GB SSD for OS.
PSU: Not sure what to get, maybe worth getting an 850W perhaps for future capability? I would like a relatively silent system.
I don't need KB [Roccat Isku FX] Mouse [Roccat Kone Pure HellFire RED] Speaker/Headset [SteelSeries Siberia V1, still going strong
] or Monitor [Dual... something, does me fine <-- and no, that is the make, no dual screens 
]
I'd also need the little bits too: tools, thermal paste, alcohol rubbing wipes (right?), and anything else you know I'd need.
So yeah, honestly can't think of anything else but all recommendations would be very welcome!
I'm inexperienced but love my gaming and do enjoy computers so would be nice to build my own "beast"
