As far as I am aware my system should have a TPM but Windows can't find it.

I have an i7 3930K running in an Asus Sabertooth X79 motherboard. I've been through the BIOS multiple times but I can't find anything in it.

Does this have a TPM? I've installed all the latest drivers on my system including the latest chipset drivers and still nothing.

Doh! Posted in the wrong forum. If someone could move this thread to one of the relevant hardware forums that would be great.

I can't say I've ever seen a home user that has any need for a TPM to be fitted, your motherboard has a TPM header on it.. but very much doubt there is anything actually connected to it.. you should look..

Ah. Its a bit of a faff to get my computer apart. As for the reason for needing a TPM I wanted to encrypt my drives using Bitlocker and it says that a TPM is required. Of course you can disable this requirement but if I had a TPM it would offer that little bit extra security when I encrypt my drives.

I don't think I've ever seen a TPM for sale on any hardware site though.
