I had an appointment last week and was told to get new glasses.

There was a special deal, £125 frames were available to me for £40 - student discount, it sounded good at the time so I decided to take it. That was last week, this week they are ready, however I've changed my mind as I wear contact lenses and rarely wear frames. Am I entitled for a refund (I paid last week) and for the frames to be returned? The guy over the phone told me it might not be possible for me to get a refund.

Any ideas?

If I recall correctly, I didn't sign any forms, I confirmed the purchase by paying the fee of £40.

Although it was a week ago and I honestly cant remember that clearly, but if I did sign a slip, then yep I'll admit defeat. However if I didn't sign a contractual agreement, am I entitled for a refund then?
