Spectacle me a Laptop

Well not me, my sister.

She had a Travelmate 8106WLMI and it had a fault which acer wouldnt acknowledge. Eventually by threatening legal action the shop it was bought at have agreed to replace it with a similar spec to the one she bought from another manufacterer.

Not knowing much about laptops we have come here for help. The specs of the one she had are:

Are they replacing it with a similar spec or with one at a similar cost, as im sure you could get a much nicer laptop for £1200 nowadays.

Thats what I'm not sure about, we think it has to be similar price and spec
