I know OCUK don't support an overclock after BIOS has been updated.

But I forgot to write down the exact settings used in the bIOS before updating it. So i've lost all settings.

Is it possible for OCUK to give me their settings template for overclocking this bundle?

Note - Please note that adding in additional memory to the spare slots will require new BIOS settings and the maximum clock speed attainable may be significantly reduced. OcUK recommend a quality brand PSU for use with all our bundles such as the Corsair TX & HX range. Updating the BIOS on the overclocked bundle range will void the warranty on the overclock. If you update the BIOS we will no longer be able to provide support for configuring and maintaining the CPU overclock.

Probably best off posting up in the CS section with your order number.

However how come you updated your BIOS? hardware incompatibility?

Normal practise with BIOS updates is "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

The system was being a bit "moody", DVD/CD drive doesnt seem to be working properly, a HD wasnt being detected properly and i saw that there had been a lot fo bios updates since the version i had so i wanted to be uptodate.

Hmm I'm not entirely sure a BIOS update would fix those issues as they tend to be very specific e.g. fixing certain CPU compatibilities or memory issues etc.

Does the system still have the same issues now?

The HD is now fixed. However the CD/DVD drive is still giving me problems. I need to re-authenticate windows 8 tonight over the phone.

I'm having a bit of "sticking/stuttering" and a few crashes in games so i really need to fix the overclock. At the moment i've just upped the cpu colts to 1.3, turned a few options off and put the CPU at 4.4ghz. It holds, but i do feel like some system is often getting stuck with "not responding" for a moment when i open a new program. This could be a harddrive problem, a windows problem, an overclock problem or a RAM problem.

I could do with just reinstalling windows 8 from scratch and formatting a drive but i dont kow where to download the windows 8 iso on their website(i upgraded from win7 online).

I have to say though, my FPS in games has increased between 40-80 in some games. It is truly incredible. My old Q6600 3.2ghz was seriously holding my gtx 670 back.

Regarding the optical drive issue, the lens might just need a clean
I've had similar issues in my overclocked PC's over the years, the extra heat produced requires more cooling = more dust in the system.

Try a cd/dvd lens cleaner, put the cd in the drive run it a couple of times and that should resolve your issues.

Also you optical drive may have a firmware flash available - if so I would also recommend that (the motherboard rule of if it ain't broke don't fix it does not apply ) you flash that firmware.
