According to the link a 'major electronics firm' will be making some sort of announcement tonight about a new 'gaming product.' This could be anything from a new controller or other peripheral to possibly a new console.

Speculate, OCUK. Speculate to your hearts content.
 
Well it being a major consumer electronics company it rules out MS, Nintendo, and various software companies. That leaves things like Samsung, panasonic or maybe Sony, in the end i expect it to be a big let down and nothing much.
 
Seeing as MTV are going to be revealing this then it will probably be a complete crock of **** that no serious game lover cares about but the casual gamers and tweens that watch MTV will love it.
 
I'd expect it to come from Sony, Predictions go from the PSP2 all the way to some rubbish attachment for Move.

Of course, thats even if the event happens. But a PSP2 seems highly unlikely as that would be saved for a really big event, whereas something like a an attachment for Move probably seems more likely.
 
Well if it's on MTV I reckon that hints at some sort of Music Peripheral for Rock Band or something... maybe Tamborine Hero :)
 
Interesting foray into the market by Panasonic. I've been reading some articles avd here is what I've gleaned so far:

Called Jungle
Battlestar Galactica MMO planned for the device
Has a HDMI Port so possibility to connect to a television/computer screen?
USB Port for data transfer
Has its own animated show -
