Evening all, anybody have a full width speed bump outside their property? The reason for asking is we've received notice today that the council intend on constructing one right outside our property. We live on a straight stretch of road just below the brow of a hill, 30mph speed limit which is pretty much ignored at a guess 50mph is the average along the stretch.
Now I'm not against speed reduction measures along the road but just putting one speed bump in at this location over half a mile from the next bump seems pretty pointless, my prediction is it won't slow anybody down but a massive concern from my wife is the increase in noise outside our property.
So back to the original question does anybody have one outside their property and does it cause any issues ie noise?
