I was driving through a 30 limit earlier at about 35 - 36 mph indicated earlier and i noticed a normal police car just parked on the road.

Im now starting to wonder if it was a speed camera?

Firstly the area in question does not have any speed camera signs and the limit is not even very clearly marked, just it has a few shops and the road is fairly wide.

I drove past again a while later and noticed just one guy in the car front seat looked as if he was reading something,

Just wondering wether ive been caught really, the site is not marked on http://www.safetycameraswiltshire.co.uk/ and i would be annoyed as this was about 10,30pm at night!

Any ideas?

As far as I know they have to pull you over there and then to give you a ticket, you won't get one in the post.

Can i ask, why this is? Surely they could just have a gun?

They don't use them from inside the car lol!

lol, what!

Dont they have the blacked out windows inside the van, which they aim from?

Sounds like im safe then as i couldnt see any think near the van.

you said it was a car, now your saying its a van?

police do use guns, however they pull you over at that time or there is other cars waiting further down the road.

Ah i see, yea it was a police car.

Thanks for clearing it up, should help me sleep tonight.

When me and my friends went to wales, my mate recived a ticket a few days later in the post. We drove past a police van that must have being doing speed checks, so they dont have to pull u over.

But this wasnt a full van, just a police car.
