Half asleep, in a 30, downhill, foot on the brake, policeman and camera stood in the dark. Parasites. No idea if I was over or not! He did take a good look at my front plate though :(

I was unlucky to not be in the stream of traffic ahead of me.

This is the same police force who didn’t have a free officer when one of my neighbours was mugged and assaulted and the assailants identified nearby.

Edit: force of habit, posted in the motorsport sub forum :D

I know, long day at work. On auto pilot!

A waiting game now I guess. Must have only been doing 26 by the time I got to him. Who knows before. 34/35 is possible I guess. My foot was on the brake the whole way down.

They love it at the bottom of 30mph hills, it's an easy money maker. Got to watch those.

Another other one is behind a bend going in to a 30 zone (or leaving).

Also rural roads where they have recently dropped the speed limit for no apparent reason.

Wtf?

How and what caught you for that? That's completely ridiculous.

Yep. I know. M27 around Portsmouth with manned camera according to the summons. Never saw it.

Annoying thing is the NIP shows the speeds and options in that force area. 70-79 in a 70 no prosecution. 80 was speed awareness or 3 points. 10% +2 lives on....

Think of the children on the motorway folks.

Especially on a road with no lighting!

Brave thread, admitting to speeding in a 30 and then criticizing the police is sure to wind up the usual suspects on here.

Officer with a speed gun? Don't they generally pull you over and issue the ticket on the spot? That's how I got done several years ago.
