Speed info

Hey guys,

My sky was connected today so i got ten days of this trial or whatever you want to call it.

That my stats info, can anybody hazard a guess as to what speeds i should be looking at after my trial thing is up ?

Maybe around 6-7Mbit on ADSL up to maybe 8-9Mbit on ADSL2+. Your SNR of 17.4db suggests that you have about 10db of additional signal which should result in a decent speed increase for you, so you might get more as it appears you might have a decent line.

i was only connected on thursday, but since then i have restarted the router a few times due to setting up a wireless network with another router and stuff.

Do you think i should wait till the ten days is up then give them a buzz and get them to see if i can get faster ?

i read in another post they can do it......

You shouldnt really reset the router within the 10 days as it is seen as a drop in service which they can only point to the line being unstable. You will need to wait till the end of the 10 days then ring up and see what they can do.

Yeah i didn't know that, but to be fair if there standard router wasn't a pile of crap i wouldn't have had to restart it lol

if they moan i'll just claim we have had electricians out
