Speed light advice

Ive got a single sb700 speed light and I'm due to go on a trip soon to Thailand , I could do with a compact diffuser and a sunlight gel, any recommendations?

Also is it better to use the gel alone or can it be used with a diffuser?


I've also got a set of yongnuo wireless triggers and have noticed that when I set the sb700 to manual and off camera I only get the option to set the power output, there doesn't seem to be any settings or info for aperture or distance ?
Is there an easy way to quickly set the power to near enough what is needed ?

think you typicaly use flash gel without a defuser, and for small and easy defuser, i think a fabric pouch/sock style one would meet that requirement

I will get a set of gels from there and get a small pouch diffuser or mini soft box , even if it's not the greatest it will be better than nothing as I am taking minimal kit and the bag I'm taking is just big enough to fit something very small or foldable in
