Speed or timing

Which does anyone think is better?
Will be buying 6GB (triple channel) for i7 and not sure which to go for.

1866Mhz @ CL9-9-9-28
or
1600Mhz @ CL8-8-8-24

Tried looking at various reviews and from what I can gather for gaming higher speed is better, however none of the reviews were particularly up to date.

Try a mem test, such as Everest to see your copy, read and write values.

Hi Anak,

your post doesnt tell anyting about the make or model of RAM.

If they are from same manufacturer and the same price, then go for the faster speed. This of course depends on what your motherboard can and will support.

The difference between the timings is slight, but the faster RAM does an extra 266 cycles per second.

I doubt you could notice the difference as both sets are fast.
