Speed problem.

Hi guy's,

Just wanted some advice plz..I have talk talk fiber broadband, if i run a speed test on my pc, which has (Windows 8.1), which is meant tobe 40 + speed, i only get 14meg speed, via pluged into Ethernet. If I test my laptop via ethernet, which has Windows 7, I get over 30 speed.

So could there be something on my pc thats blocking the speed?

Security software?

You could try the Ubuntu live CD to rule out a problem with Windows.

I use bitdefender, and malwarebytes pro.
Was ok before.. Errr, what's Ubuntu live CD.

Tried this, but still same speed.. hmmm very strange..

Any other idea's to try?
