Quick question, I've overclocked my 3770K to 4.2 (I know, pathetic aint it?:p) and when the cpu is idling, it still has the overclock applied. Does anyone know which option in the bios I have to enable/disable to get speed step working so the mobo drops the multi and core volts when the cpu isn't doing anything other than idling?
Cheers.

You need to leave the C etc states on, theres a bunch of them called like C4/C6/EIST etc.

Basically every after CPU Cores enabled.

leave ON/auto.

But even windows power management can stop it from working if you have that set to high performance.

Tried that lot, managed to get the multi down when idle, but voltage remains Vcore 1.25v, not too fussed though as temps are really nice, cheers for the info.:)
