Speed vs latency

Hi all, got recommended

TeamGroup Vulcan ORANGE 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-17100C11 2133MHz

but the latency is CAS 11. even though I'm going to be doing some photoshopping and video editing, my main concern is gaming. Would going for RAM with 1600 mhz but lower latency be more benificial?

Members have this running at 2400>10-12-12-31 with extra voltage. I'm using the 2133>11-11-11-31 Dual Channel Kit 10-11-10-29/1t at 1.70v as it was out of stock.

CAS is not a good measure of comparing latency across memory speeds. CAS is measured in cycles and the faster the RAM speed the more cycles are done per second. Though not exact 2133/CAS11 is probably around the same latency as 1600/CAS9. Anyway you will likely never see any difference in any of these speeds outside of benchmarks.
