Speedbumps are here

Yeah I have to admit I was hoping that they would open up the possibility of CUDA based cards in the MBPs so you could use the hardware acceleration feature in the Adobe Suite

I wonder how the performance compares to the early 2011 macs - I think I'm gunna wait till the major update next year before upgrading..

The base spec 15" now gets a 6750 as standard rather than a 6490 which is a nice bump too. Makes it much more appealing

My week old base spec 15" isn't feeling too put out, thankfully :)

Processor bumps shouldn't make too big a difference, 200 MHz isn't much to write home about. Graphics bump looks significant, though, will have to wait for benches to be sure.

You know if you payed for a mac product and they update it within two weeks you can take yours back to them and they'll give you the upgrade for free?? (same for price drops too)

I didn't pay for it, was an AppleCare replacement for my 3 year old MBP.

Not too fussed about the upgrades anyhow, certainly not enough to chance my luck ;)

 applecare gave you a complete replacement?!!?! too good! How many repairs of the old one had happened?

Do you have any links to the info on this? A mate got new MBP a week ago.

Oh I just went to the store and looked annoyed they lowered the price on my iPod and asked if they would give me the difference back.

Forgotten where I read that its considered the norm for apple store policy but the apple store always give you 14 days returns what ever happens http://store.apple.com/uk/help/returns_refund which includes options like buyers remorse (its on their little list for the refunds procedure which made me smile) so it follows that if they upgrade the product in those 14 days you'll be entitled to go back and ask for the upgrade for free :)

The mantra is they'll give you the upgrade free as you could easily return your item, to then just buy the new one.. which is hassle and a bad experience.

Obviously, if it's a BTO then you might have to do it online / may not be allowed as it's custom.
