Speedfan Confusion

OK,

So I've figured out which fan is which, and which component is which, and I can assign each component to a "Speed" 1, 2 or 3. But I can't assign any of the fans to the Components or the Speeds?

So it's still useless?

Not at my computer right now but I seem to recall that I used the temperatures tab to set my threshold temperature and fan speed percentage. Maybe it's different for other motherboards though.

Hi there,

article is very helpful but I'm still having trouble:

I have 3 "Speeds" so Speedfan is finding 3 controllable fans, the problem is it seems to see the CPU fan as Speed 1 and Speed 3?

(Speed 2 is certainly the front chassis fan)

If I reduce the max percentage on Speed 1, CPU fan slows down, If I reduce the max percentage on Speed 3, CPU fan slows down.

Very confused.
