speedfan: what temp to trust?

on my c2d rig, running speedfan i have entries for:
Label - CHIP
CPU - Winbond W83627DHG
Core 0 - INTEL CORE
Core 1 - INTEL CORE

which one(s) should i be using to monitor CPU temp? im thinking core0/1 as its taken directly from the cpu if im understanding that right?

my "CPU" temp seems to match my system temp (currently 37C) and my core temps are currently 28C.

I usually find Speedfan a bit hit and miss, usually miss in my experience on telling the correct information. Voltages were something stupid like 20v on the 5v rail and temps were in the 100s.

Best thing to do though is download coretemp and compare the temperatures and see which is correct.

heh none were the same as coretemp

coretemp = 48C
speedfan CPU = 44C
speedfan core0/1 = 35C

thank god im going to get the ninja installed tomorrow!

then again its got my multipler as 449x6 whereas i know its 300x9..
