Here is a list of the temps speedfan is reading, wondered how accurate they usually are. I'm using a shuttle SG33G5, Q6600 @3GHZ stock volts, WD 1TB Caviar Black & nvidia 8800GS

Core0 33min 59max
Core1 30min 55max
Core2 32min 58max
Core3 29min 55max
GPU 44min 74max
HDD 27min 37max

Do all these look safe? I'm thinking the GPU looks a little high.

speed fan is good for temps, you can also use core temp, should get the same values

considering you are using a shuttle PC and probably not the best cooling as bigger case I should think these temps are normal.

but to monitor temps you should use a program like orthos to test full load, then you check the temps. run it for about 4 hrs or longer and then you can look at the temps

for the q6600 i would say OK up to 65C and for the gfx OK up to 80C - if above I would really consider some better cooling personally

anyway the comp will start shutting down if it gets too hot => BSOD

Double check with Real Temp or Core Temp for the CPU and GPU-Z or Riva-tuner for GPU temps.

I'm controlling the GPU fan using Riva-tuner, it's set to the fastest I can before I can hear it. The temps are correct and match up.

lunarwolf - they are the full load temps, they don't get any higher than that, I'll leave them alone then if they are fine there, might turn up the GPU fan a touch, set if I can put up with the little extra noise.

Cheers guys
