Firstly sorry but a google and a browse of pepipoo has left me confused.

OK- Marked Police Focus parked up on a bridge over an NSL dual carriage way. No one outside the car. Driver thought they saw a flash from within the car.

Is it possible to have been nicked or being paranoid? Or to get something through the post does it have to be a Scamera van or GATSO?

Was "your mate" going too fast?
err.... it was my mates... cousins.... uncle or something. Ok it was me :o

Nothing major just 78 ish in a 70, was overtaking a few cars and wasn't paying attention to my speed  @ me :o

Actual speed BTW.

I must admit, I am a bit of an old woman when it comes to getting caught speeding :o

Next car will have to have cruise control :p

2 things

1) if a police car does get you for speeding, it will follow you and issue you with an nip. Police patrols dont carry cameras, only radar guns and VASCAR. These are used for measuring speed, but they wont take a photo of you. if you're caught by one of these they will chase after you and pull you over

2) if it was going to have any of the above in, it would be a traffic car. Focus arent used as traffic cars as they're too slow and cant carry enough. Common traffic cars are volvo S/4 40s and 70s, Bmw X5, Range Rovers, BMW 5 series, Vauxhall Senators etc..

So if it was a focus, it wont have had anything in it to measure his speed. And he wasnt issued an NIP and pulled over

he's fine. prob just imagining the flash :)
Thats just the info I was after. Thanks :)
