Errm yeah, not big not clever and currently pooping my pants.

is it 14 days or 14 working days time period? Thanks.

what happens if it comes after 14 days?

I still dont know if i should be worrying, i was overtaking, and forgot about the camera (was doing 45+ in a 40 but was slowing down) and the car i overtook came whizzing up my inside (damn taxis aye).

This was on 24th of last month. I'm just quite nervous 'cus I've only recently passed, ack.

if what you tell is is correct, there's no need to worry.

It's safer to wait 18days. As the 14 days doesn't include postage. If it does come out of the time period. You pretty much just write on the form bit.

The 14days does include the postage, and the NIP must be sent with the intention that it will arrive within that time taking account weekends and holidays.

Are you sure?
I'm sure there are times when outside the 14 days the NIP is still legal, like postal delays, as long as the NIP was served within 14 days.

Yeah, but that would be unforseen delays; i.e. If you committed offence on a Friday, the latest they could post it first class would be the Thursday 13 days later. If postman delays it until Saturday then it is still legal.

They are usually pretty efficient at sending them out rapidly anyway. Besides; what kind of camera was it? What side of the road was the camera on? Did it flash etc. So often there seem to be people here thinking they have been caught when they definitely won't have been.

If your speedo said 45 you were probably going about 42mph, and the speed cameras only catch you at 46mph in a 40.

Well it was my side, as i said before a taxi was undertaking me. I thought i saw something (could have been sun reflection) and then noticed it defo flash as i came to the end of the white lines.

Ill sweat it out for another week :P

What about postal strikes? We've not had any mail for days.

other complicating factors are company cars, incorrect info on V5 etc.

have a browse of the peppipoo forums, they helped me take my ticket to court, and win!!
