speeding up a video

i have been given a video to put into a presentation i am producing

its 3 mins long and i would like to speed it up, its mostly a time lapse video with some info slides inserted.

is this possible? was hoping to make it last about 1 min 30 at most

any ideas?

movie maker should do it, its free
