I noticed that there were a few add-ons in IE 9 settings, have any of you disabled any of the add-ons? Also there is an option in the internet options section of IE9 enabling use of IE9 in software rendering mode as opposed to using the GPU. Anyone tried this or has any feedback about which is the optimum setting?

Hmm, may I ask do web pages load instantaneously for you? Say if type in the address for ebay or OCUK, does the page appear instantly or is there a delay/lag of a few seconds before IE displays the content of the page?

(I apologies for this nitpicky-ness but I am not sure if I have done something to upset my rig and I do not know if they were as a result of changes in the bios or some settings I changed in IE).

Keep an eye on third party add ons (which you should do anyway really it's not IE specific) which can slow things down. Dont bother with software rendering mode unless you're having problems with the default settings.

Yes thanks for that. I think when I installed AVG it also installed an addon of some sort.

But I dont know what I've done recently, just doesnt seem as "snappier". Or perhaps its my imagination :p
