Hi all,

Has anyone got any experience of compressing print jobs in Citrix to travel over a WAN?

I think I am correct in saying that my Ipanema won't compress ICA traffic, so that is no good.

I wondered if anyone got any experience with ThinPrint or Tricerasoft for example please? I can't figure out how it works, and if I'll lose any functionality on the printers.

I am using Xenapp 6.0

It depends what you're trying to print. We print masses daily and generally get by without issue, but all it is is pretty much plain text with the Universal driver (on XA5).

We've used Uniprint in the past set to open up the document on the users machine (in Acrobat), allowing them to print whereever/however they want with their local drivers.

Huge Word and Powerpoint files, Saving them to the local machine is not suitable, too much faff for the users, and most computers won't support it as they're dumb terminals.
