Speeds (switched to talktalk)

Recently i have switched from Zen internet to TalkTalk i was paying £25 for 60gb limit Business quality Broadband on Zen however when i switched to talktalk for unlimited service i have had the speed drop from 7mbps with Zen to 0.3mbps-1mbps with TalkTalk

I mainly browse in the evening which is the peak times for bandwidth but when i switched this huge drop surprised me so i am wondering is this Normal for this ISP in which case i will switch back or Could this possibly be some misconfiguration of my router settings?

I think you'll find Talk Talk have been voted worst ISP for some time now, I would suggest go back to Zen.

Im on talktalk, and it is hopeless. if i could switch i would but were in a shared house and i dont pay the bill

it shows a good speed on speed tests, but if you try and stream anything all you get is buffering....

Which exchange are you on? http://www.samknows.com/broadband/exchange_search

How are you measuring the speed?

Post router stats.

Run the BT speedtest (Java): http://www.speedtester.bt.com/

Im on Talk Talk, worst thing ive ever had. I get like 5Mbs unlimited download but its still poor.

Ive heard they are getting fibre optic soon and up to 24mb. so i think you may be able to upgrade to that.

sadly im still on a 14month contract... so this seems to be my only hope!

Been with TalkTalk for the last 8 months, no problems for me. Switched from BT, and so far so good.
